I am a certified Traditional Usui Reiki Master-Teacher with additional training in second degree Karuna Reiki and Quantum-Touch Therapy. Having graduated from Adelphi University with a degree in Speech and Hearing Therapy, I have made a comprehensive study of Integrative modalities of healing, including visualization, meditation and acupressure.
As a member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals (IARP) and the Connecticut Holistic Health Association (CTHHA), I have been in private practice since 1996. I am employed as a Reiki Practitioner at the Integrative Medicine Program at Bennett Cancer Center in Stamford, Connecticut. Through my training as a Stephen Minister, I also work as a lay counselor with particular focus on spirituality, healing from grief and recovery from addictions.
Upon request I lead individual and/or group workshops entitled “Prepare for Surgery; Heal faster.” This powerful program, which is endorsed by Dr. Andrew T. Weil, MD and Christiane Northrop, MD, uses mind-body techniques to feel calmer before surgery, use less pain medication and recover faster. The workshop, which includes a book and CD for the client’s use, takes approximately one hour and can be done in person or on the phone.
